I thought let's show off by starting the blog with questions like, What is VirtualBox OR why Linux but keeping aside all technical knowledge let's directly jump on installation.

Downloading VirtualBox and Kali Linux

Downloading VirtualBox

To download VirtualBox simply go to this site.
Click on Download VirtualBox.
Then click on Windows hosts if you are using Windows OS.
Downloading will start.

Downloading Kali Linux

To download kali Linux simply go to this site.
Click on Download.
Click on Bare Metal.
Click on Installer.
Downloading will start.

Creating the virtual machine

Wherever you installed VirtualBox install it(double click😂).
Click on next.
Choose the location and click on next.

Now leave all 4 boxes checked and click on next.

Click on install, then click on yes. Finally, click on the finish button (give your administrator password if it asks)
Open VirtualBox and click on new.

Enter details as shown below.

Assign 2048MB as memory size(RAM). Click on next.
Select " Create virtual hard disk now ".

Set the Hard disk file type to VDI

Set storage on the physical hard drive as Dynamically Allocate

Select file location and size. (keep size 30GB if possible, so that later for any purpose you can use it).
Don't worry about size, as soon as you shut down your virtual machine that storage will be freed.
Finally, click on Create and you are all set now.

Your VirtualBox interface should look like this.

Now click on settings.

Now goto storage. -> left click on empty -> Remove attachments -> Remove.

Click on that small disk icon beside Controller: IDE -> Click on add and select where you installed the kali link.

Once you added then click on choose.
Finally, click on OK

Installing Kali Linux OS.

Open VirtualBox then click on " Graphical install ".
Select the " English " language.

Select India.

Select British English.
Name hostname as kali.
You will see Configure the network panel, leave domain name field blank. (kuchh bhi likhna nai h)
Setup user name and password.(These are your credentials so make sure you remember them).

Don't use your name as the user name, so that in future you start learning about hacking it will help you.
